Dom was something special and we were all deeply saddened by his passing to cancer on March 16, 2015. A little bit of Dom lives on in all of the Callea Pearce team, as to work for Dom was to be inspired by his passion for his clients, his staff, the Law and his business.
Dom loved being a lawyer, but arguably, he loved owning a business even more. He loved helping other business owners overcome the hurdles that were keeping them from achieving their desired success. Dom knew that the only way he could help multitudes of people was to replicate himself by teaching his staff to strive to provide sensible legal advice with integrity and honesty. The team Dom left behind is a testament to his ability to motivate the next generation of lawyers.
Dom was proud to have always lived in the Western Suburbs. He considered himself fortunate to be able to live, work and support his clients and a number of local community and sporting clubs in the West.
In his sparse spare time, Dom coached junior basketball and played the role of proud dad cheering on his four children in their various sporting activities. To his credit or otherwise, Dom was a passionate Western Bulldogs supporter.
In his final year as he dealt with his illness, Dom gravitated towards the quote below. The mantra is reflective of Dom’s positive can-do attitude and ability to overcome adversity – be it overcoming personal challenges or assisting clients find solutions to their problems.
“Trees which endure the stormiest times grow the strongest and most beautiful. Ditto how your stormy times can encourage you to thrive and bloom into the mightiest you”
Rest peacefully Dom. You are sorely missed.
