Let’s Get Behind Dom
My name is James-Anthony Callea from Callea Pearce Lawyers and I’m Domenic Callea’s son. One month ago today, my father passed away after a year courageously battling cancer. Dad was incredibly strong and fought right up until the end. Our family and the family at Callea Pearce would like to thank you sincerely for your support over this difficult period.
Dad’s approach to life, in particular to his family and his business, was inspiring. He always cared for everyone and stood up for what he believed in. One thing dad believed in was giving to worthy causes, and last year our family started participating in the Cancer Council Relay For Life. Relay For Life not only raises funds for vital cancer research, but is a harrowing experience as you spend 24 hours along side others that have been touched by cancer in some way. This year takes on added significance for our family and we are hoping to raise as much money as possible in dad’s honour. So to help in that effort to raise donations I am going to be ditching the shirt and tie and doing 100km over the duration of the 24 hours starting midday this Saturday, April 18. That is 250 laps of the Vic Uni athletics track in Hoppers Crossing. We would love your support. You don’t need to do 100k in a day. All you need to do is CLICK HERE and donate what you can. For all our sizeable donations, especially our corporates and small business friends, if you let us know in the notes section of the donation page who you are, we will make sure we thank you appropriately. So please get behind us and keep dad’s spirit of giving alive. And wish me luck!
I would like to finish with dad’s favourite quote of the last year.
It is the trees that endure the stormiest times that grow the strongest and most beautiful.
Ditto how your stormiest times can encourage you to thrive and grow into the mightiest you.
Thanks for your time, have a lovely weekend and I look forward to our future encounters together .
